Tracking, traffic quality, and fraud

Set up tracking, check your conversion data, and learn what to do if you suspect fraudulent traffic.

Written by Glitchy Team

Tracking helps record conversions for the right offer. Here’s how to set it up, test it, and raise a traffic concern.

Which tracking methods are supported?

Brands can track conversions through:

  • Shopify

  • Stripe

  • AppsFlyer for mobile apps

  • Server-to-server postback from your backend or tracking platform

  • Webhooks from your checkout or billing system

Go to My Brands and select Set up tracking for your brand. If your platform isn’t listed, contact support for help with your setup.

How do I know tracking works?

Select Test tracking on your offer card before you send the offer for review. The test should confirm that clicks and conversions are recorded for the right offer. We also check tracking when reviewing your offer. If your test fails, contact support with your offer details and what happened.

Whose numbers count?

Glitchy’s tracking platform is the record used for billing. Keep your conversion events firing accurately and in real time. Conversions lost because of site downtime or tracking changes on your side can’t be credited.

Is the traffic real?

We monitor marketers and traffic for fraud and suspend accounts that break the rules. No system catches everything, so we recommend keeping Require approval turned on to review marketers before they promote your offer.

What if I think a marketer sent fraudulent traffic?

Contact support before that week’s payment cycle closes. Marketers are paid on Wednesdays. We’ll freeze the payout and investigate. If invalid conversions are confirmed before payout, we’ll credit your balance. Once marketers have been paid, we may not be able to recover the funds.

Can I contact marketers directly?

No. Marketers you meet through Glitchy must be worked with through Glitchy. Our terms prohibit contacting or working with them outside the platform for 18 months after your last interaction with them through Glitchy.
